I have always admired Bill Hewlett and David Packard as the icons of the garage startup. Their creation has survived some poor CEO choices over the years. Current financial performance is not pleasing Wall Street. Customer service, however pleases me greatly and consistently. The company has a customer service call center in Costa Rica. I truly appreciate their ability to solve my technical problems. As much as I dread having to call a tech service rep, the cordiality, patience and competence of the good people at HP Costa Rica call center make it a decent experience and they follow-up to ensure the problem is permanently solved. In recognition of that Lagniappe level of service, a contribution will be made to the local school district in support of the English as a Second Language program.
